The change we are trying to influence

  • Strengthen community assets in our communities of greatest need
  • People better connected to accessible and affordable physical activity opportunities
  • Increase support for families in need
  • Maximise the opportunities for healthy conversations
  • Shift social norms to be active
  • Improve access to good food
  • Reduce barriers to breastfeeding
  • Food Cardiff is a city-wide partnership of individuals and organisations. It acts as a hub for connecting the people and projects working to promote healthy, environmentally sustainable and ethical food across the city; it acts as a voice for wider change. Working in this way enables good food for all.

  • Food Vale is the Vale of Glamorgan’s local food partnership, hosted within Public Health. We deliver a range of projects that get people growing, buying, cooking and eating good food; whether that is through expanding community growing spaces, supporting food pantries, investing in local growers or creating learning opportunities.

    Louise Denham, Food Vale Co-ordinator
  • Working towards shifting the social norms to play within our local communities is essential to creating the culture we need to encourage young people of all ages and abilities to be explorative and adventurous whilst keeping their bodies active and minds healthy.
